RIVA 6C 2500 1950
Carrozzeria Riva di Merate near Lago di Como built this car for the journalist and racing driver Giovannino Lurani Cernuschi. He always had all his car maintained by Riva.
This car is built on a tubular chassis from Gilco, engineered by Guido Cattaneo. Cattaneo still had some pre-war Alfa 2500 SS engines lying around and he inserted them on the Gilco-Cattaneo chassis. Some of these Gilco-Cattaneo Alfas wered bodied by Colli. Riva built only one, maybe two. The design was made by Lurani himself. Only 1.3meter height
This car won the 1950 Concours d'Elégance Lido di Venezia. The RIVA might still exist in the USA at Boo Tucker, though with an American V8 engine in.
