During 1967 to 1972
Alfa Romeo built light trucks and vans in collaboration with Saviem Renault. Autocarro Alfa A15n, A19n and A38n and F20n Furgone vans.
In 1:43 we first looked for these at Norev Plastigam. Saviem GS2 plastic models: Cattle car, garbage truck or a milktanker could be converted into an Alfa.
With adjustment of headlights, indicators and an etching grille from 'Ricambi Ger'-RaMei.
Later IXO have released a die-cast series Saviem furgone, which made it possible to create Polizia, Vigili del Fuoco, Ambulanza Milano or school busses.
IXO finally made the adjustment to a'real' Alfa F20n / A19n for the Vadis Editions-Sofia edicola "Veicoli Pubblicitari Epoca" with 4 versions:

Autodelta used these trucks in the early 1970s to transport parts to the circuits. The glory days of the Giulia GTAm touring cars and tipo 33 Sportscars.
The blue IXO A19n (with glass pannels) formed a good basis for the conversion to the Autodelta racing truck with hood. The body was repainted in yellow and blue.
The rectangular headlights were replaced by a round. The soft tarpolin hood was made of cloth and modeled with resin and paint.
Additional foglights and Alfa decals make it a very successful model ! Autodelta decals (ex Progetto) are available from David Tarello.
