Le Alfa in scala 1/43

For a number of years Ilario Vecchiato (IV Model) has announced to make the special Alfa 6C 2500SS Panoramica Zagato in 1:43.
This has not happened sofar. Angelo Tron took over the idea and on the december Hobby Model Show in Novegro Milano he showed the first model.
After worldwar 2 Zagato used bended plexiglas in their design, that resulted in 1948 Panoramica coupés range for the Fiat 1100, Ferrari 166, Alfa 6C 1750 and
this 1949 Alfa corto (despite the long bonnet). At Zagato Fabio Luigi Rapi likely was the designer.
From the book by Simon Moore “the legendary 2.3” it became clear that a 6C 2500SS chassis was not used, only the 6C differential and rear axle.
The engine in the Panoramica was a 8C 2300 #221114, that originated from a Monza Scuderia Ferrari and was used later by Scuderia Maremmana.
Atelier Studio Zagato adjusted the description to 8C 2300 Corto Panoramica 1949.
Charles Puricelli from Busto Arsizio (Varese) was the first owner with a VA 24297 licenseplate. After various owners the Zagato landed in Malaysia.
Carlo Vigano crashed the car in the GP Johore in 1953. The no81 coupé, owned by R.Wise, was destroyed. The picture of the crash in the book by Simon Moore
confirms the 8C 2300 carter and 8C oiltank next to the gearbox.
Tron decided to use a champagne colour on the resin model, based upon the drawing on the Atelier Studio Zagato site.

Claudio Villa produces simple formula 1 kits mainly in whitemetal:
already seen Alfa 177 1977 test, Alfa 177 1978 test and Alfa 178 1978 test and Cooper T86C 1968.
From the South African races he made the Alfa Special Cooper Giulietta 1965 by Peter De Klerk.

Recently a green (or red?)ReAlpha RE1-Cooper Giulietta no10 driven by Ray Reed from Rhodesia, in the GP South Africa 1965.

New is a fairly unknown Euroracing Alfa 415/185T 4C Turbo, the last Alfa testcar on Balocco 1986 driven by René Arnoux.

Quel muletto secondo me non è una 185T col motore 415T, il roll bar è del tutto diverso e essendo parte del telaio non puo' essere un telaio 185.

Benissimo la diva, che mi persi quella della tecnomodel e che incomprensibilmente non produsse in kit nonostante i pochi montati rimasti su eBay girassero a cifre che raggiungevano anche i 200 euro.
Il muletto euroracing sarebbe nelle mie idee di realizzazione, non so se mi convenga farmela da solo o prendere quel kit su cui mi pare ci sia da lavorarci parecchio.
Infine la se048, ho li una buona base di partenza ma mancano foto del muso...

La Diva Sbarro Tecnomodel ero riuscito a prendermene una a meno di 100, nera pero'. Per cui personalmente sono poco entusiasta della nuova proposta di pari prezzo e, si presume, qualità.

Sul muletto F1 4 cilindri, infatti il kit proposto lascia perplesso, in altre occasioni il minimo di qualità non era garantito. Se ti ci dedichi Christian, è più facile che mi fidi di te.

Qui c'è una bella documentazione. Il muso sarà simile alla 185? Puo' darsi, anzi sembra. Che abbiano troncato un telaio 185 per rifarne completamente la parte del serbatoio col rollbar? O che fosse un'Osella modificata? Siccome la 185 non ha mai voluto funzionare, strano abbiano preso proprio una ciofeca come vettura laboratorio.

Se048: mai visto il muso...

I don't think so. On this clay model, you can see quite many features to be found on the SE048 (see for instance the airscoop), not on the LC2 (codename SE047). This is an intermediate model between "initial" and "final" bodies after wind tunnel testing.

It seems more likely that the SE047 had a standard LC2 front end, but it would need to be confirmed...

Ho preso la 2000 Abarth Ghia di kess, uscita ormai da un paio di anni penso.
Non mi aveva convinto appieno, tuttavia anche l'alternativa ABC non è il massimo, oltre che costare di più solo come kit...
Il modello kess secondo me pecca principalmente di assetto e di carreggiata troppo larga, le ruote dovrebbero restare un bel po' dentro i passaruota e non a filo come l'han fatta.
Ho provato quindi un po' di combinazioni con gomme e cerchi, ecco il test

Mi pare che la penultima appaghi di più l'occhio ma forse la spalla è troppo bassa?

Deciso per l'ultima opzione, ma per poter abbassarla ulteriormente mi è toccato lavorarci di dremel aumentando lo spazio interno dei passaruota.
Il risultato mi soddisfa e migliora notevolmente l'aspetto della riproduzione.
