Le foto a colori si riferiscono a restauri successivi. La prima livrea coi fari fissi fu quella del 1947 rosso/rosso, poi tutte quelle successive sono restauri.

The Belgian Umberto De Mola designed the outlandish convertible in 1939-40 on a 6C 1750 Zagato chassis. After the war, the car was found in Tunisia and taken to the USA. A Ford engine went in. Restorer Jackson Brooks used the Zagato chassis for a replica and put the De Mola body on a then affordable 1948 6C 2500SS chassis. The 'Batmobile' covered wheel arches were made more accessible, modified and refitted with a 6C Alfa engine, sold for US$32,500. Resold a number of times, on display in 1982 in the English Beaulieu Museum, (WFX410 red) where mr De Mola could see his old creation again. In dark blue, the car was shown at Pebble Beach, drove the Mille Miglia 1993 no118 by Dambacher and was shown at Techno Classica Essen 1994 and 1998 (at Thiesen). Dambacher and 1995 owner Bremer added red striping. Auctioned at Coys Silverstone in 2000 with a red body, silver-grey striping and split front bumper (US$300,000?). Last seen at the 2010 Rally des Alpes, still as LSL 850 driven by Lord Laidlaw.
